Richard Thomaselli, a former professional football player, has a passion for the racing industry and is an owner of several racehorses. Thomaselli's career gave him a unique perspective on injuries suffered by the professional athlete. He himself had suffered knee injuries, injected with medicine, and sent back out to play. It ultimately ended his career, and resulted in chronic suffering. Thomaselli became a believer in healing through natural means

When two of his racehorses, Umbrage and Surpassing, began suffering from injuries, he had decisions to make. Thomaselli loved his horses and had concerns for their well-being. He initiated Alphasonic therapy to relieve muscle spasms, reduce inflammation, and increase local circulation to heal the body and enhance performance in both horses. He also sought advice through a psychic reading from Dr. Vivien Lee-David, a psychic and parapsychologist regarding the futures of his horses. This certainly was not an isolated case. In 1991, Equus magazine published an article describing sessions that Nancy Regalmuto, a practicing psychic and parapsychologist, had with the infamous racehorse, John Henry. Dr. Vivien Lee-David consults with thousands of clients from around the world, testifies that many of these clients are calling about their animal who are considered cherished members of their families.

Equestrian Journal interviewed Dr. Vivien Lee-David, who has a Ph.D. in Parapsychology from the California Institute for Human Sciences Graduate & Research School, with a Secondary Specialty of Sound & Light Therapy. Dr.Lee-David is also the only psychic that is a Board Certified Anti-Aging Health Practitioner by the American Academy of Ant-Aging Medicine. She described her consultation with Richard Thomaselli, as well as her background in this field. It is a fascinating story:

"I advised Richard that while his one horse Umbrage, would do quite well and go on to continue a successful racing career, I intuitively knew that Surpassing would continue to suffer injuries and the best decision would be to retire this horse to a farm where he could run, be happy, and live his life without the stress of competitive racing. Surpassing was extremely tired and not at all interested in racing."

Lee-David knew this through her heightened intuitive abilities employing both clairvoyance and clairsentience. "All living things have physical, bio-chemical, and electrical components," she stated. Clairvoyance is the ability to actually see an aura, which is the electrical field surrounding the body that mirrors the health or lack of health inherent in the body. In fact, each part of the body has its own electrical field - the heart, the skeletal, and the muscles. "I can actually see these fields and pinpoint areas of weakness or problems," she continued. An aura of the soul is also evident to Lee-David. "People who are heroes have bright and brilliant auras surrounding them, while someone with malevolent or destructive intentions are clothed in black and grays - a dark and murky field of energy seems to project from the body."

Clairsentience is a heightened capacity to "feel" the feelings or sense the emotions of another, be it human or animal. "We are molded and shaped by significant events in our lives that leave a permanent imprint upon our emotions. These events are stored in the memories of our physical body that is contained in our muscles, bones and tissues. I can feel the impact and see these indelible experiences rather like viewing a film. For example, if a horse suffered abuse in transit while being imported, the effect and resulting seed of fear from this adverse encounter will imprint itself in the horse's body. I will have awareness of this incident through Clairsentience," Lee-David explained.

In attempting to understand these concepts of seeing electric fields, or the ability to feel the impact of crucial life experiences, one can draw an analogy with the superior sense of smell and hearing inherent in the dog and the superior eyesight of the birds of prey. We cannot hear the pitch or frequencies, which are normal to a dog, but we do know for a fact that they exist. We often see our pets responding to sights and sounds that are too faint for us to detect, which is why we rely on our pets for protection.

Dr. Vivien Lee-David shared her personal story and the source of her extraordinary psychic abilities with Equestrian Journal.

Lee-David's mother was originally from Puerto Rico. Her mother, Felicidad, was raised as a Catholic and was deeply spiritual. She believed strongly in the saints and a connection through God with all things - a universal field of love and energy. She was very creative - a painter and a poet. She also had the gift of being psychic.

"My first experience of being psychic was when I was three years old," lamented Lee-David. "I had a very close aunt, my mother's sister Emilia, who had come for a while to help in raising us, and then returned to Puerto Rico. I called her 'TaTa'. One day I saw 'TaTa' bathed all in light and she walked through the front gate and then the front door without opening them".

A subsequent phone call from Lee-David's other aunt, Dora, revealed that Emilia had just passed away. "My mother explained to me that TaTa's soul had come to say goodbye, and that I had a gift from God - an ability to see the spirit," said Lee-David. "This was viewed as being perfectly natural and normal. Everybody has a soul, which is a body of energy and light. Some possess the ability to see and connect with them."

Lee-David remembered that she always seemed to know things that others did not, and her capacity to see auras remained very vivid. These occurrences were validated by both parents with the result that she never doubted her abilities.

Lee-David's father, Colonel Lee of the U.S. Army was born in 1898 in Lithuania. He was 57 years old when Vivian was born. He was an officer in the U.S. Army during the time when horses where still used by the regiments. He loved horses and taught Lee-David to love horses from a very early age. He believed in the power of nature, exercise and natural foods to heal the body. Alternative healing was a term not yet coined, but he studied the religious beliefs of the Christian Science Church. He adhered to the concept that the mind had the power to heal, and he encouraged the learning of many different religions. Lee-David learned that love was the common denominator and theme amongst all religions. He owned a collection of Ralston Society books, a series of books, published in the early 1900's, whose subject matter was thought transference, universal magnetism and the other side.

"We visited the Rancho La Puerta spa in Tecate, Mexico every year," reminisced Lee-David. "It is a spa for healing and there was a shaman or healer there that was my father's friend. A Shaman is a healer who masters the body by controlling the intake of food, subscribing only to certain healthy foods, meditation, connecting to nature, animals, and uses their body to heal themselves and others."

In essence, alternative healing surrounded Lee-David's entire heritage, the belief that psychic abilities were normal, and communication with spirits was a gift of love by God. However, Lee-David did not initially pursue a psychic career. It was a life-changing experience that propelled her to seek her doctorate in the parapsychology field.

"I originally thought I wanted to be a teacher. When I grew up little girls were either nurses or teachers. I was pursuing a traditional route, and acquired a BA in Spanish and English," she stated. Vivien soon discovered that teaching in an inner city school that was troubled with violence and gangs was not her calling and went on to get an MBA in Marketing and International Business. "I was after corporate success, but the corporate environment left me feeling betrayed and very sad. So, I commenced study for a doctorate in business." Life intervened. Lee-David's mother had a stroke, which left her a quadriplegic. The prognosis for her life was dismal. Lee-David's studies abruptly came to an end as she withdrew to take care of her mother. "I gave her healthy, loving care. I had nurses 24 hours a day, and I grew organic juices, vegetables, and herbs, which we feed to my mother. I surrounded her with love, which is the power of healing. My mother, who was deemed to die within two days by the medical doctors, in fact lived for another eighteen months with my love and care."

Caring for her mother until her death changed everything for Vivien and gave her a new perspective. She recognized that her abilities provided her direction.

Lee-David began using her psychic abilities to help heal others, obtained her doctorate in Parapsychology and received an array of certifications in health related issues, such as anti-aging, eating disorders, hypnotherapy, and inductive healing as well as a few others. She has been featured on Channel 8 news and Fox news network several times in the past four years. She obtained an award in WHO's WHO in Medicine & Health Care Millennium Edition. She has numerous other awards, and associations with many well-known corporations. Vivien Lee-David is fulfilling her purpose in life.

There was one last question Equestrian Journal had for Dr. Lee-David. What was her experience with animals' souls?

"I grew up with many animals," Lee-David replied. "My sister had a horse, Mom had birds, and we had dogs, at Rancho La Puerta there were goats and chickens, among others. I once had a thirteen year old, much beloved dog, Jasper that waited for me to come home from school before he died. I saw him in light after he died. He was no longer old, but in the prime of his life -bathed in light- running in the back yard and through the house in joy and in health as he had done in life. He was alive without his physical body but still alive. He let me know he was happy and well and to stop weeping."
